J.LO DITCHES GLAM LOOK FOR NEW V MAG COVER

A lot different from what we are use to… J.Lo is known for being a beautiful glam goddess, however it appears she ditched the glitter plus stilettos and got more in tune with her ’tough girl’ side. Jenny from the block appears on the cover of the recent sports issue of V Magazine. Although we got to see J. Lo play a woman who packs a powerful punch in her film ‘Enough’, She shows up she’s still beautiful in full-on boxer garms! She puts her dukes up in a 12-page spread snapped by Mario Testino. The cutely titled “The Lady Is A Champ” shoot was styled, somewhat surprisingly, by former French Vogue editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld, known more for Parisian glamour and porno chic than, well, anything athletic.(Huffington Post) She looks FAB! NEW YORK (CNNMoney) – Apple’s stock market value topped the $500 billion mark in early trading Wednesday, another record high for what was already the world’s most valuable company. The half-trillion dollar valuation puts Apple in some extremely exclusive territory, making it one of the five most-valuable companies at any point in history. Only Microsoft, ExxonMobil, Cisco and General Electric have ever surpassed that mark. Exxon did it most recently in late 2007, when oil prices were soaring. Microsoft, Cisco and GE reached half a trillion dollars in market capitalization in 1999 during the height of the tech bubble. Microsoft was the only company ever to have a valuation of $600 billion. Its market cap now sits about $267 billion. Apple’s valuation is now higher than the gross domestic product of Poland, Belgium, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, or Taiwan. Despite its size, Apple is still one of the fastest growing technology companies. The company reported in January that its sales grew 73% last year. It also posted the second-most profitable quarter in history for a U.S. company.The stock has been soaring for the past three years. Anywho, the ‘Material Girl’…ahem..woman recently released her new single Girl Gone Wild, it was recorded in London with dance producers Benny and Alle Benassi. WHY WAS ERYKAH BADU BANNED FROM PERFORMING IN MALAYSIA??

Erykah Badu, no stranger to Bare skin controversy, has pissed off Malaysian authorities with a publicity photo. The Associated Press (via Entertainment Weekly) reports that after seeing this photo, wherein Badu’s bare shoulders are tattooed with the word “Allah” in Arabic, a government committee for the Muslim-majority country decided Badu was unfit to play her scheduled show in Kuala Lumpur this week. Malaysia’s Information minister Rais Yatim said in a statement to the AP that the temporary Allah tats are “an insult to Islam and a very serious offense” and that the photos have “triggered public criticism that could jeopardize national security and cause a negative impact to the government’s image.” Badu is no longer permitted to perform as planned in Malaysia, but is permitted to stay in the country as a tourist (she’d already flown over for the show), according to the AP.
