WATCH: Michelle Obama Weighs In On President’s Past Drug Use
First Lady Michelle Obama weighed in on recent revelations about her husband’s past drug use on Tuesday, acknowledging that President Obama realized at a young age that he “could do more with his life.” During an appearance on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” to promote her new cookbook, the First Lady was asked by host Jon Stewart about the president’s high school and college years. An excerpt released last week from David Maraniss’s forthcoming biography of the president contained details about Obama’s marijuana use as a teenager. Stewart joked that the stories about the president as a young man resembled the “script of a Cheech and Chong movie.” While the First Lady didn’t directly address the claims in Maraniss’ book, she did say that her husband underwent a change during his college years. “By the time he was in college, like so many young people, he realized that he could do more with his life,” Obama told Stewart. “He had a mother that was always saying you’re so gifted, you’re so talented, slap him on the head, ‘get yourself together.’” The Daily Show Get More: Daily Show Full Episodes,Political Humor & Satire Blog,The Daily Show on Facebook The Daily Show …

ART: Mind-Blowing Water Colors
British photographer Mark Mawson has taken our breath away with another photo series made from the simple ingredients of paint and water. Dubbed “Aqueous Electreau,” this is the photographer’s third series featuring kaleidoscopes of colors suspended in water. “After the success of Aqueous Fluoreau, I wanted to try and produce some work which was equally as bright and bold without it being repetitive” said Mawson. “I used colors that were very electro, hence the name and the images had a resemblance to ‘ectoplasm’, ghosts and spirit photography,” he adds. WATCH: Pianists In Paris Take On Jay-Z & Kanye Song
From the collective who brought us “History of Whistling,” “History of Lyrics That Aren’t Lyrics,” and most newsworthily, “Zuckerberg: The Musical,” now comes a seven-man, one-piano rendition of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s most viral song, “Niggas in Paris.” The cdza, short for Collective Cadenza, is made up of singers, whistlers, pianists and all-around creative types. They lean on their stable of pianists for “Pianists in Paris,” which is a far cry from the epilepsy-inducing original. The instrumental, OK Go-esque video uses the piano both as their prop and collective instrument, with results we wouldn’t mind seeing repeated at classical music concert. Source

YUM: The World’s Best Airport Restaurants
Airport dining doesn’t have to be terminal. A new wave of airport restaurants is elevating airport cuisine above the level of greasy burgers and wilting sushi, as celebrity chefs and regional food heroes bring their magic to the one-time culinary wasteland of the airport. Many of the chefs involved are Michelin-starred, and their offerings rate alongside the finest restaurants in their cities. The better restaurants that are located in the public areas of their respective airports, such as Hong Kong’s Hung’s Delicacies and La Moraga in Malaga, Spain, have become magnets for non-traveling locals, achieving the hitherto unthinkable by turning the airport into a foodie destination. Across the industry, there is a broader recognition that many among the captive audience of travelers are looking for something more substantial than simply filling a hole in their stomachs, and would place a premium on quality food in stylish surroundings. Industry awards such as those made by Skytrax include categories recognizing the best airport restaurant offerings. This year the top five awards went to Hong Kong International, London Heathrow, Munich, Singapore Changi and Amsterdam Schiphol, in that order. Here is CNN’s pick of restaurants that are raising the bar in terms of airport …

HEALTH: Guru Dr. Sebi Possess Cure For AIDS?
By: Kenneth Miles According to our western medical system, there is no cure for AIDS, so far their recommendation has been to follow the same route Magic took. But one man, an African man, has CURED AIDS. Dr. Sebi, is a naturalist doctor from Ilanga in Spanish Honduras. He has been discredited over the span of his career several times because he has been practicing medicine but never attended any school, not even kindergarten. After he arrived in the United States he was diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, impotency and obesity. After the failed treatments of western conventional medicine he found an herbalist in Mexico. He decided to spread these herbal remedies to the world in an attempt to give a successful alternative to western medicine. From his own personal cellular cleansing and knowledge that he obtained he created the USHA Research institute located in Laceiba, Honduras. The Supreme Court charged Dr. Sebi on November 22, 1988 for three separate charges. The first was practicing Medicine without a license, the second was selling products that are not FDA approved, and the third was falsely claiming to cure AIDS. When he appeared in court he was told to bring one patient for …

PHOTOS: Andre 3000 As Jimi Hendrix For BioFlick
The Jimi Hendrix biopic titled All Is By My Side may not include the original recordings of the guitar-slinging icon, but it looks like it will feature Andre 3000 at his psychedelic best. The first photos of Andre on the Irish set of the film surfaced over the weekend, and they appear to show the OutKast rapper determined to meet the promise of the role. And why shouldn’t he be? Three Stacks has pursued the role of Hendrix for at least eight years. Still unclear, is whether the Hendrix estate will ultimately allow the use of the legend’s original music. Back in 2004, in discussing the project with the New York Daily News, he said he wanted to capture Hendrix’s duality: “Jimi was wild onstage,” Andre said. “Offstage, he was really calm.” The rap star, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, certainly looks serene in the early photos (except, ahem, when he realizes he’s being photographed). More pics below. The fact that production has begun in earnest is a sign that the project isn’t being held up by objections from Hendrix’s estate. If it does make it all the way to the silver screen, it wouldn’t be the first time a …

PLACES: La Banane Hotel – St. Barts
La Banane on St. Barts is an exclusive, retro-chic hotel of nine distinctive bungalows. This hotel’s cool vibe of the 1950s is not a fake as it has a great storied past and its stories are based on real life, real events, real personalities. La Banane’s founding father was the late Jean-Marie Rivière, a luminary of the Parisian cabaret world, who was often photographed with Zaza Gabor, Brigitte Bardot and other stars. His first sexy revue called La Banane was performed in this hotel where celebrities and Rivière’s friends mixed and partied, and enjoyed the green lushness of the surrounding nature. The welcoming Rivière and his show ruled the hotel and gave it its name, its sexy glamorous air and the show-piece island in the middle of the pool. And even more real-life story has been added when La Banane was recently completely revamped. Each of the bungalows and all of the common areas are furnished with pieces that one would expect to see in a home of an avid collector of original pieces by great modernists, with Le Corbusier the chief figure. Several of the pieces are originals created in the mid-1950s when Pierre Jeanneret, went to India …
