Yesterday, DC Area Rap Phenom, Cayan, released a video for his song “Leaders” off of his tape Sounds of Clarity which dropped early last year. The song is the sound of the revolution and the video represents it’s motive. It entails scenes and images of numerous revolutionary icons and hidden signs of rebellion in Washington, DC. The video is hosted in one of DC’s most mysterious parks, Malcolm X park (Also known as Meridian Hill). Cayan’s influence on the DC Hip-Hop scene began when he dropped District of Caylumbia I and District of Caylumbia II. He took the ears and hearts and hype of the city to new levels. His wordplay is rivaled by none and his songmaking is comparable to a young Jay-Z, Curren$y and Jay Electronica. Cayan is a founding memeber of The Capitals and hails from Northeast, Washington DC.
