Beyoncé and Andre 3000′s cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” has surfaced in full. Hear a radio rip of the track, debuted last night by the song’s original co-writer Mark Ronson on East Village Radio, below. Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, doesn’t think much of Beyoncé’s rendition. “I don’t think she brings anything to it. I wasn’t asked for my permission if they could record it. They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money,” he told the Daily Mail. The cover will be released on The Great Gatsby soundtrack, out May 7th via Interscope. Stream: Beyoncé and Andre 3000, “Back to Black (Amy Winehouse Cover)” Here’s the trailer to “The Great Gatsby” …due in theaters May 10th!

The Hawaiian shirt was visible in a variety of styles and patterns, but almost always kept to a palm tree or flamingo print. This season seemingly builds off those good vibes, and takes color and theme a step further with a range of modishly bold shirts. While all-over patterns are a streetwear linchpin and a look that cyclicly resurfaces among the sartorially inclined, S/S 2013 is taking the “party print” by storm. Here are nine shirts sure to start colorful conversations and add a little personality to your wardrobe. Gitman Vintage “Tijuana Pinup” Gitman Vintage is steering the season’s party patterns with a range of vibrant motifs. The tailored “Tijuana Pinup” shirt captures Mexican hedonism in all its historical glory, recalling the days after WWII when Americans would flock to the city’s Avenida Revolución and beyond for a carefree weekend of drinking and gambling. Get your hands on this nugget at Hickorees ($185). Lazy Oaf “Hot Dawg” Nothing channels the fun of a backyard barbecue like a hotdog-themed shirt.
Feels like a great day to take a stroll through Italy…Oh…your jet can’t make it…no worries, we’ve got you covered. Our buddies over at TheCoolHunter got a chance to spend six glorious days at Castello Di Reschio in Umbria, Italy, without resorting to clichés and big words that sound like overstatements. Awesome. Amazing. Surreal. Idyllic. Exquisite. Enjoy. From reviewing our images, videos and stories from Di Reschio, the one thing that has become even clearer over time is the feeling that we were transported to some unspecified luxurious time period between ancient history and tomorrow. A perfect “time is standing still” moment, offering relaxation and pampering, yet managing to surprise and delight at every turn. With the estate itself a testament to how beautifully structures can age, combined with the extraordinary attention to detail in the restoration, and topped with every modern amenity one could wish for, it all appeared – and still does – almost too beautiful and perfect to be true. We kept thinking that it resembled a movie set, yet there wasn’t a single fake or pretentious item in the place. Everything felt that it belonged here, and somehow always had belonged, even if reality proved otherwise. The back story of this incredible estate ...

Turns out one of our favorite fashion bloggers, can also concoct a hell of a salad… Karla Deras of Karla’s Closet shares a few of her favorite recipes. No surprise the salads look as great as her wardrobe! Check it out… I feel like most people usually perceive healthy salads (i.e. salads that are not drowning in ranch dressing) as boring and bland. Well that’s not the case here, my friends. My favorite salads are ones with a lot going on- fruits, some kind of nut, and a hint of tartness in the dressing. Below are two of my favorite salad recipes I find myself returning to week after week… This quinoa and arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette takes five minutes to make and is so tasty and filling… Ingredients: Arugula, roasted hazelnuts, cranberries, quinoa, navel orange, lemon, olive oil, and mustard. lemon vinaigrette: 1 lemon 1/2 navel orange 1 tablespoon dijon mustard a dash of garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup olive oil My other favorite salad consists of artichoke hearts, fuji apple, cucumber, red onion, candied pecans, and shaved parmesan cheese (it tastes just as good without the cheese, trust me). I like to ...

Jay Z is no stranger to Magazine covers, however, his most recent is definitely one to be framed and adorned on his walls at home. Mr. Carter is one of seven subjects chosen by TIME Magazine to cover their ’100 Most Influential People in the World’ issue. If that isn’t cool enough… New York city Mayor Michael Bloomberg personally penned Jay’s feature in the prestigious magazine. Check out a peek of the article below. Jay Z embodies so much of what makes New York New York. A kid from a tough neighborhood who grows up in public housing, overcomes lots of bad influences on the street, never lets go of his dream, makes it to the top — and then keeps going, pursuing new outlets for his creativity and ambition. When no one would sign him to a record contract, he created his own label and built a music empire — before going on to design clothing lines, open sports bars and, most recently, represent professional athletes. He’s an artist-entrepreneur who stands at the center of culture and commerce in 21st century America, and his influence stretches across races, religions and regions. Kudos to Jay and his camp, one thing that’s definitely undeniable is his amazing ...

The first thing that struck me about the DC Design House this year was how much bolder it is than in years past. I wouldn’t call any of the rooms risky per se, but there’s a hint of edge in most, and some sweet ideas to glean from each. For example, Iantha Carley’s morning room (seen above) is design sunshine — a mix of textile patterns, bold artwork, and oversize light fixtures, all tempered by a generous amount of white in the high wainscoting. (Apt Therapy) You feel a bit more sophisticated just stepping into Nestor Santa-Cruz’s dining room. He’s a master of restraint and scale. My favorite element is the Cannon/Bullock wall covering that reminded me of wet cement. He left the edges untrimmed, which blurs the line between art installation and wall treatment. There is not a single mundane element to Regan Billingsly’s teenage boy’s bedroom. The bold Farrow & Ball Broad Stripe paper grabs your attention from the hallway, but it’s the array of vintage finds and locally sourced accessories that make you want to linger. I think it’s one of the few showhouse teen rooms I’ve seen that balances believablilty with intrigue. And finally,Jessica Parker’s breakfast area is destined to be a favorite spot in the kitchen. ...
